In a dreary first half Sunday, Justin Faler replaced Tillor Tilkel with another spectacular drive after leading 13-3 in the first frame.

East Rutherford, NJ - The New York Jets have no wins, no touchdowns (last two games) and no answer at quarterback.

Manager Aaron Glenn, who was asked if he was considering trading his quarterback and made a decision last week, turned the ball over Sunday after subbing Justin Fields at halftime against the Carolina Panthers at MetLife Stadium.

Glenn, who leads the only team without victory in the NFL with a 0-7 record, is now open to Quarterback change.

"I'm not ready to sit here and say what's going to happen next week on a quarterly basis," he said."I would say this: That's something I have to watch."

Fields, who the Jets signed to a two-year, $40 million contract in March, got the hook after completing 6 of 12 passes for 46 yards and three sacks in the first half. That came after a nine-sack loss last week when the Jets had -10 yards against the Denver Broncos.

Longtime backup Tyrod Taylor (10-of-22, 126 yards) came in and changed the offense a bit, but ultimately ruined the comeback with two interceptions, both of which came from cornerback Jaycee Horn.

Fields said he was "a little bit" surprised by Glenn's hook, adding: "But at the same time, I can't get mad about the decision. I understand the reasoning. That's life. That's football. I've learned not to take anything personally."

This was the first big-time quarterback in Glenn's short tenure. He drew criticism for not pulling Fields during last week's loss in London. He supported Fields and said he didn't want to create a situation where the starter was "looking over his shoulder."

Glenn's patience ran out after overseeing the offense. The pressure is on Glenn, one of nine individuals since 2000 to lose his first seven games.

"It was my decision to give this the right time to do it," said Graen, adding that he was looking for a "way."

The airline offered a $30 million guarantee, hoping this would be their long-term answer. He gave hope with a strong performance in the Opener, but his performance has deteriorated incredibly.

In six starts (he missed one game with a concussion), Fields is averaging just 141 passing yards per game, with four touchdown passes and no interceptions. It's rare that a quarterback without an interception is benched, but there wasn't any energy on offense.

Towns has scored 17 points in its last two games, becoming only the second team in decades to hold opponents to 13 or fewer games.

“It's always a difficult decision, but as a head coach you have to look at the team and figure out what's best for you to put yourself in a position to win,” Glenn said."That's the only thing on my mind at halftime. I told the offensive staff, I told Justin and Tyrod exactly what I was going to do and then I made the decision."

Fields became the only quarterback to return a kickoff less than 4 yards per attempt over the last two seasons.Glenn wants his quarterback to be aggressive, which could work in Taylor's favor when he makes the decision.

"I'm depressed right now," Fields said."It would feel old in a way."Citing his faith, he added: "Nothing can break me."

Taylor, always known as a team player, said he will be fine with whatever Glenn decides.

The Jets were without quarterback Garrett Wilson (knee), who missed his first game in three years.Without him, they had no firepower on the perimeter.Fields and Taylor completed just nine touchdown passes, only one longer than 13 yards.

The Jets gave up six sacks, allowing the pass defense again. The Panthers, with the 21st-ranked scoring defense, had just five sacks through the first six games. The Jets have now surrendered 20 sacks in their last three games.

First-year offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand has come under fire.Every week, his unit struggles from scratch. In fact, the Jets haven't scored in the first half since Week 1.Asked to evaluate the play in the last two games, Glenn said, "That's a good question."He said everyone — coaches and players — is responsible for the struggle.

"The younger me, I could complain or whatever," Breece Hall said about playing, "but I'm not perfect, either. I'm just happy to be in this place."
