Nintendo has said that the image used by Walmart shows Metroid Prime 2 Echoes and Pikmin 2 as part of the Nintendo Classics Gamecube range is incorrect, noting that these games are "not scheduled for release at the moment."It is unclear when the release is scheduled, but as always we will surely let you know.
"We recently provided a merchandiser with an image of a Nintendo GameCube - Nintendo Classics titles that included games that were not currently scheduled for release. The image has been removed and we apologize for any confusion."
Thanks to Greatsong1 for posting the news tip!
"at this time"
This does not exclude the possibility of future additions.Since Prime 2 was never released outside of the Prime Trilogy (which is not actively sold by Nintendo either physically or digitally), I would at least hope that it would eventually make it to NSO.
Basically they gave the picture too early and had to recall it because it messed with their release plans lol.If the source is Nintendo it's not like someone at Walmart accidentally photoshopped a picture from google images
It's confirmed how much it can get but we can't really say if it's coming as part of the February Direct or after haha
Maybe they'll let it leak to see the reaction.Maybe they saw how upset some people were that Metroid Prime 2 Echoes didn't get a remaster and dedicated setting. Maybe, but remember that Metroid Prime 3's corruption never existed on the GameCube.
well, he's just PISSED that people aren't praising Prime 4...
There is no doubt that the game is good.In any case, you'd have to be pretty stupid to think what you're saying is true
Crazy. This game is completely frustrating and vulnerable to the weakest in the series.
The biggest crime in the game is a B+ not an A+.Nothing to do with Prime 4
Why does Walmart need Nintendo Switch Online promotional material? That's what you buy with the eShop .I think they can make money by selling PCs or eShop gift cards if there is a profit.Or in advertising.Just my opinion.
There is now a lot of shelf space for digital movies at Wal-Mart, including Nso members who include the expansion pack.
And this is just me speculating here, but I bet it also indirectly advertises the Switch 2 showing that it plays Gamecube games via NSO
Doesn’t matter. All PR is good PR.
And this is not true for every case.Check out what happened at Concorde after a terrible PR campaign.I'm not saying the Concorde was bad, but the negative reception to PR directly affected how many people wanted to buy it.
Speaking of Concord, the same can be said of Concord, 2.0.
I think it would have been better if it was released on Playstation and Xbox.It looks like a good console shooter and there was more excitement on PS5 than on Steam. It was the first game in a long time that caught my FPS, but it was only for PS5 and PC so I couldn't.
PC FPS gamers are incredibly loud and have specific sensitivities, so if something happens that is outside of their sensibilities, how bad will it be for you to hear?
Same with Highguard, I keep hearing hate on it and how it's Concord, but when I went to Pure Xbox last night I saw that they really like it here.
(Note: I sold my Series X last year after losing faith in anything Microslop does from 2021)
This means if Nintendo removes the Walmart image, Metroid prime 2 will be redone.
Lmao, that picture with those games didn't come from anywhere. They are definitely meant for maintenance, but the question is when?
