New Atlanta Falcons star James Pearce Jr. was arrested Saturday night near Miami after fleeing from officers and then crashing his car following what police said was a domestic dispute with WNBA player Ricke Jackson.

Atlanta Falcons rookie James Pierce was arrested Saturday night after fleeing from police near Miami and later crashing his car during a domestic dispute with WNBA player Rickie Jackson.

Pierce, a first-round pick who led the Falcons in sacks and finished third in the NFL's annual defensive poll, was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after Doral police were called to investigate a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.
