Tom Hanks sure loved being in A League of Their Own, but that doesn't mean the actor wanted to be in every scene.In fact, he revealed to Seth Meyers on Tuesday night that there was one scene he walked out of simply because he knew it would take days to shoot.

Stopping by Late Night to support his new off-Broadway show This World of Tomorrow, Hanks touched on moments from his career, including Toy Story and the beloved baseball movie.Hanks called the film "the greatest performance in the world" before admitting that there was one scene on set that he immediately avoided.

"I read a few pages, and I saw the first line in the scene, and I saw the last line in the scene," Hanks recalled.

There I moved his head again as if he was watching a tennis ball, and he had other people in the scene, and his own line.And so he came up with a move that would allow him to walk away after the first line.

"I said, 'I want to sit down.'

"But there I swore, because where is the sun, they have to shoot for many hours, like good evenings," and who are those who shot.

Meyers burst out laughing at the story, praising Hanks for thinking like a "professional actor," with which Hanks readily agreed.

"That's what professionals do, baby!"Hanks roared."They read the script and said, 'I don't think I should be in this scene.'
