Arc Raider's second major update, Cold Snap, brings plenty of snow and cold conditions to the seasonally appropriate, popular exhaust shooter.In the Cold Snap update, players can now explore snow-covered maps while braving the elements, unlock tons of new cosmetics and other fun items, and (optionally) see their raiders with a reset from the game's first campaign.However, some of these are only available for a limited time, so you'll want to know what you're getting.Since there's so much to see and do, let's take a look at everything new in the Cold Snap update.
Goalie Raider Deck
Cold Snap's update includes the Golly Raider Deck, the second Raider Deck since the release of Arc Raiders, although it won't be accessible until Friday, December 26th.
Note that unlike the standard battle passes in most live service titles, this raider deck is a permanent addition to the game.So you can unlock its rewards at your own pace without fear of them disappearing after some time.It's unclear if this trend will continue with every Rider deck, but it's good to see now.
Snow map conditions
One of the biggest additions – and perhaps the reason for this update is Cold Snap – is the all-new Snowfall map state.This map condition covers the map in snow, which reduces visibility and increases fear during the above exploration.This map condition is available for Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, Spaceport, and Blue Gate.That is why, in addition to the lack of visibility, players have to fight other attackers who follow their feet in the snow and a new interesting mechanism that you did not expect: ice.
Cold and shelter
Yes, you read that right: get your fingers crossed during snowfall on numerous tracks in Arc Raiders, so beware of security attacks.One group chooses not to do this.You want to live in these areas and you will want to play well and play with other teams.

As part of the Cold Snap update, players are now automatically enrolled in the Flickering Flames event, which features up to 25 rewards that can be earned by playing the game. You automatically receive credits when you earn XP during a round, which are then paid out when you return to Speranza, unloading gear, cosmetic tweaks, and Raider Tokens, the premium currency of Arc Raiders.
Since Merits are earned through simple actions that grant experience, it should be fairly easy for casual players to get every reward on the course.But if you want to speed up the process, simply focus on high experience situations, like killing larger ARC enemies like Bastions, Bombers, Jumpers or Rocketeers.
Note that you must play at least five rounds of Arc Raiders to qualify for the Flickering Flames event.
Candleberry feast project
The Cool Snap update includes a new mission that you can also compete in the Candleberry Banquet.This is the second mission in the game so far, and it works a little differently than Exploration (which we covered a little more).For this mission, players must complete five levels by finding candleberries and other special items while walking to the top.Each level shows a new situation at the dining table.Eat at Speranza as you get your extra cosmetics, raider tokens and more.Even better, you'll get rewards for completing these levels, which will also help you complete the Flickering Flame event!
Lastly, the Cold Snap update also coincides with the first Arc Raiders Expedition reset. Players who have completed all expedition requirements by December 23rd will be able to register to ship their raiders and exchange them for new raiders.This deletion removes all blueprints, levels, quests, upgrades, and credits earned so far, and players also gain a few unique bonuses.
Those who decide to send their raiders on this tour will be given the following bonuses:
- Up to 5 skill points (explained below)
- 12 hidden locations
- Special campaign icon
- Scrappy Janitor makeup

- 5% XP increase
- 10% repair plus prices
However, players will need to put in some time and effort to get all five bonus skill points for this first campaign.You receive one permanent skill point for every million credits you have after going on an expedition, meaning you'll need to collect a total of five million credits to get all possible skill points.If you haven't got that much money yet, you'll have until December 22nd to collect everything and sign up for the campaign, so you still have Time is running out!
