Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka is leaving LIV Golf, effective immediately, his representatives announced Tuesday.
Five-time major champion Brooks Koepka will not return to LIV Golf in 2026, the league announced Tuesday.
Talor Gooch will replace Koepka, 35, as Smash GC captain, Scott O'Neil, CEO of LIV League Golf, said in a statement.
"We have amicably and mutually agreed that Brooks Koepka will no longer compete in the LIV Golf League, following the 2025 season," O'Neill said.
Former world no.Signed with the Saudi Arabian-run Breakaway League on 1 June 2022. He reportedly has one year remaining on his contract worth more than $100 million.
In a statement, Koepka's management team thanked Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia;O'Neil and the LIV Golf League management team;his teammates;and fans.

Jena, Koepka's wifeAnnounced on social networks in October that she had a miscarriage at 16 weeks, the couple have a 2-year-old son named Crewe.
It's unclear if Koepka is allowed to return to the PGA Tour if she wants to do so.Former PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan suspended the golfers from participating in the LIV golf tournament without releasing a statement regarding the controversy.
"Brooks Koepka is a consummate professional, and we wish him and his family the best," the PGA Tour said in a statement.
Koepka informed the PGA Tour of his plans to leave LIV Golf by announcing his departure on Tuesday, sources said. If he wanted to return, he would have to formally reapply for PGA Tour membership;Sources said he did not renew his membership through the 2022-23 season.
If Koepka reapplies for PGA Tour membership, the tour will begin a reinstatement and disciplinary process, which will include "considered input from the board, including directors of players," the source said.
The PGA Tour does not disclose or comment on disciplinary matters.
Koepka became the first LIV golfer to win five individual tournaments, most recently at The Greenbrier in White Sulfur Springs, West Virginia, in August 2024.
However, he struggled last season, finishing 31st out of 54 golfers in the season singles standings.Koepka was runner-up at the Singapore event in March but has not finished in the top 15 in his last eight starts.
Koepka missed the cut in three of four majors last season;the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania.
Koepka's form has been better in his last two of four starts on the DP World Tour;He was fourth at the Open de France in Paris and tied for 15th at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at Carnoustie Golf Links in Scotland.
If Koepka does not return to the coming season's PGA tour, he remains eligible to play in all four Majors because of his five -year exception to win the PGA 2023 Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York.
