The salary cap is officially set at $301.2 million for the 2026 season.The NFL offense has officially begun.The league's new year begins on Wednesday, March 11 at 4:00 p.m. The contracts announced by free agents whose contracts expire during those two days will be unofficial until the start of the new league year.Washington is still trying to sign some of their pending free agents before they hit the market.They have already signed six players to new contracts and released two players based on salary cap and performance.

The Chiefs are expected to be active in free agency as they try to improve on last season's disappointing 5-12 season.They have new offensive and defensive coordinators in David Blough and Daronte Jones, respectively, and will focus on building around QB Jayden Daniels as well as rebuilding the defense.Deebo Samuel is one of the biggest names on this free agent list, and many believe he will enter free agency a year after Washington traded a 5th round pick for him.Washington also has some old veterans who aren't expected to return for another year.
