Mox punched Benjamin in the arm instead of showing respect with a handshake when he started.He quickly paid for this as "The Gold Standard" and "Horseman of Death" quickly became physical.
They fought in the crowd where referee Paul Turner tried to get the wrestlers back in the ring and was almost forced to count them out.
From commercial, Benjamin pushed the tempo with a Butterfly Superplex, but Mox stayed back.Even Benjamin's version of Suplex City couldn't stand
Benjamin's "Pay Dirt" nearly sealed the win, impressing the MVP on commentary. After a superkick followed by another near-kick, Death Knight rallied for the craziest nearfall in the game and a paradigm shift.
With less than five seconds left in the 20-minute limit, Mox turned a triangle choke into a pin for a surprise three-pointer.
It was a physical battle that sold both men as top legends in the company.While it wasn't a win for Benjamin, he looked incredible throughout.
Mox continued to sell that he comes to these matches torn and that his opponents do not make it easy for him.
Here, although it was clear that Gold Standard was ahead for most of the game, Benjamin was shaken by Mox's tenacity.Nothing brings him down.
It's hard to get better than that in terms of action on TV, and Mox continues an unreal run.
While the match was great, the aftermath of a disappointing MVP might mean more to AEW than the match itself.With Bobby Lashley out of danger, The Hurt Syndicate must return to recruiting.

After being attacked by the newest member of the Don Callis family, Jake Doyle, at JetSpeed before the show started, "Jungle" Jack Perry went out on his own, looking remarkably confident.
Matt and Nick Jackson came to support Perry, joining Jungle Jack together for the first time since their friendship split.
In a wild athletic spectacle, Desire gradually lost control of the action as time passed, only to be rejoined by Elite's true athleticism.
Perry was able to get out of the springboard Ricochet 450. The Young Bucks saved Jungle Jack from the pin and after the spinner.
A BTE reversal on Ricochet as Perry added his third knee sealed the victory.
Jake and Mark Davis then launched a furious attack on the Elite.A damaged JetSpeed tried to level the odds but the lights went out.Andrade has arrived to rejoin the Family, to confront their enemies.
Ricochet had tried everything to escape Perry, but for the second time in the tag team, Jungle Jack had pinned the national champion.
This should lead to a huge rematch between the two for the gold, which could lead to a surprising title change this time around.
The action is fast and hard throughout.While the obvious stars shine, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun always look good in this match.
Match after match tried to do a lot and set up multiple exciting matches in the future.
It's great to see El Idolo again after WWE drama delayed the company's plan.With the growing Don Callis family, the stable may have to start letting some people go soon.

Mercedes Monet is again embarrassed by Willow Nightingale's title celebration
3 / 7 Willow Nightingale celebrates her championship victory, taking center stage with Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron behind her.
He then greeted Mercedes Monet, who appeared in mourning.The fight broke out where the CEO was sent into the cake first and then Powerbombed by Willow.
It was a fun segment for what it was, despite the hype of the CEO's insanity and then the focus on the women in the ring.
It would have been nice to hear from the AEW Women's World Champion about all of this. And it was surprising that The Triangle of Madness only appeared in a promo after the segment.
Hopefully, Thekla's challenge to the world champion and the rivalry with Stat will be strengthened in the coming weeks instead of being abandoned.
Highlights and observations
Bandit vs. Sammy Guevara
4 of 7 Last in Action: Bandido defeated The Beast Mortos (Dynamite: New Year's Smash, December 31, 2025);Sammy Guevara w/Rush & FTR defeated Bandido, JetSpeed and Juice Robinson (Clash November 15, 2025).
Sammy Guevara had Bandido's number at the start of the match, catching him time and time again.
Bandido spat in the eye to quickly stop the rally.He caught him from behind in the ring with a full board cutter, but couldn't take the champion down.
After going from 21 Plek to GTH for a near fall, Bandido fought off another 21 Plek for the win.
MJF immediately interrupted the celebration, leaving Jon Cruz to translate it into Spanish, only for Bandido to make it clear that he speaks English.
Salt of the Earth tried to reclaim his gunpowder diamond ring, but only managed to knock himself and Cruise out with 21 plexes.
Although Guevara was working in Ring of Honor for a while, this was the best job that he had done in AWe at least a year.
They run perfectly by their offense, making the Spanish God look like a real threat to bandedo without diminishing the world champion roh and no.
While the match was good, the implications were even better.Bandido last week, this was the perfect segment to sell the challenger's true threat to the champion.
He also revealed how much Salt of the Earth wants his Dynamite Diamond Ring back, which means this match won't be over.
The stage is set next week to deliver a special match that makes the most of this moment, even if it's clear that MJF won't miss it.

Remarkable timing and observation
“Timeless” Toni Storm (w/Luther) vs. Marina Shafir (w/Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta)
5 out of 7 Last time in action: Marina Shafir teamed with Megan Bayne to defeat Londyn Dior and Rache Chanel, and "Timeless" Toni Storm teamed with Mina Shirakawa to defeat Hyan and Maya World (clash, January 3).
Shafir dominated the action in this match with Storm, using her pure striking and wrestling advantages to take advantage of the former AEW Women's World Champion.
However, Lazval caught him in a big one with a headbutt, and Wheeler Utah had to pull out the referee to stop the three count, resulting in a disqualification.
After that, Shafir hit Storm and Mina with head kicks and Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy.As the Death Riders return, Claudio Castagnoli charges but Daniel Garcia stops him.
This was a great match based on the distance between these two women, but it wasn't great.
The problem is still figuring it out as a singles contender, especially in longer matches, and it showed.It lacked the usual rhythm and flow of a Storm match.
The DQ finish isn't always happening for AEW and is considered disqualification.It was obvious that Shafir was lost and he regained his heat after that.
Saphir wanted the win more, but Storm wasn't going to make it easy for anyone.The problem is that the former world champion is not ready in the ring to beat him.
It's unlikely these two will ever fully find their chemistry in the ring, but the story is still interesting.A DQ retrial may be better for all involved.

6 of 7 Last Time in Action: Hangman Adam Page & Swerve Strickland defeated Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsuyori Shibata (Dynamite, December 10, 2025);Hook & Hobbs w/ Shibata defeated The Dark Order (Dynamite, December 3, 2025).
Hook avoided the page as much as possible, allowing Hobbs to deal with the cowboy as he tried to remove the boar.
When the Cowboy got the Handsome Devil, Tycoon threw a stapler at him to stab Hook several times.Hobbs took several more hits until Hangman had to hold him with a leg between his legs.
Zwerve and Hangman brought a bunch of cinder blocks, but Powerhouse brought the Mogul on them with the world's strongest Slam.
As a result, Cowboy was defeated by The Opps Dojo team of Hobbs and Hook.Prince Nana made the decisive save by throwing hot coffee in Powerhouse's face.
Hangman and Swerve reverse tide, house phone, Swerve Stomp and chainsaw and take out Hobbs with a dead eye / Swerve Stomp via submission.
It's a silly, wild act for Dynamite's home stretch, running over 20 minutes to claim the most violent award for Hangman and Swerve.
It was far from the high-flying and technically big games of the night before, but it stood for his signature category of hardcore violence.
No one goes for a classic, just delivering the story that remains the cowboy and the tycoon come together to pay off their enemies.
While they both want the AEW Men's World Championship, all signs point to tag team gold as these men find new tag team offense each week.
If they can get a third, they'll be the perfect team to beat The Ops and defend the AEW World Tris Championship once again on a regular basis.

Special timings and controls
The in-ring action of 7 in 7 reigned supreme this week, a show that wasn't even given a delivery time or special theme title.
Especially The Elite vs. Jon Moxley and Shelton Benjamin on The Demand followed by Bandido vs. Sammy Guevara were PPV quality matches.
The actual development of the story was limited during the week, but the Don Callis family became more dangerous as Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland demanded revenge on the opps.
It wasn't the best night for the women's division, mostly on the verge of an incredible main event last week, but "The Eternal" Toni Storm and Mercedes Mooney continued to put together an entertaining camp.
By the end of the evening, the hype was real for next week's MJF vs. Bandido, and AE had delivered several amazing matches that won't be easily forgotten.
Overall Grade: B+
