Back in the day, you had to wait for People to publish or Entertainment Tonight to come on. Today, you can get an immediate update on tmz.com, perezhilton.com, popeater.com or the like. I don’t know what it says about my pathetic life that I have all of these sites bookmarked and I check them on a daily basis.

Yet, high rates of homelessness and suicide among and violence against LGBT youth suggests that there is much more that we as parents, educators and a community can do to create a more supportive environment in which youth can come out into.
